Yankees @ Nationals

Chien-Ming Wang ready to pitch

Derek Jeter at bat

Ivy and me
Our flight touched down at DC on Saturday midnight and we had only about 5 hours of sleep before we went to Yankees game playing at Nationals. Ivy and I were both Yankees fans. At first we worried that we are the only Yankees fans. To my surprise, there were a lot of Yankees fans and some of them were even carrying Taiwanese flag to support Chien-Ming Wang. Also, the high attendance is a new record at this ballpark. Due to the Metro train delay, it was already at the bottom 5th inning when we arrived RFK stadium. And, it was 90F hot day. The front row of us were Yankees fan. The row behind us were Nationals fans. There were some words exchange during the game between them. Ivy and I were scared to be sandwich between radical fans. Despite this unpleasant situation, we had a great time watching the beloved Yankees playing. Yankees almost bank in the game until the last inning when Zimmerman hit a walk-off homer. Nationals defeated Yankees with 3-2. Although we lost the game, we enjoyed the good time watching game with beer. That's what baseball all about.

great to hear that u and ivy were having fun! I've never been to a baseball game, but I'm sure I will in the future =) Gimme an exciting baseball game so that i won't fall asleep :p
You were in SF two weeks after I flew back to DFW. Else, we might bump into each other, considering the places you'd visited
Baseball is not only about the game,it is also about the hotdog, cotton candy, peanut, beer and of course the person sit next to you. Otherwise, it is better to stay home and watch it on TV (then you can know if the pitcher throwing a curve ball or knuckle ball).
SF is awesome. I saw you went to all the places. I didn't have enough time to visit all of them.
watching it on TV vs live is different. count me as yankees' fans no.3! :)
